The 2021 NBA Christmas Day schedule is upon us and there are some of the league’s best teams and players on display.

With talents like Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, James Harden, LeBron James, Russell Westbrook, Stephen Curry, Chris Paul, Devin Booker and Donovan Mitchell taking the floor, there are plenty of prolific scorers who could make a run at the all-time individual record for points in a game on Christmas.

Bernard King has held the record for 37 years with his 60-point game for the Knicks on Christmas back in 1984. Will this finally be the year someone surpasses the 60-point mark?

Best Christmas Day scoring performances

LeBron is only 13 points away from surpassing Kobe Bryant as the all-time total points scorer on Christmas this year, but he’ll need much more than that to challenge King’s 60 points in a single game.

Of course, Wilt Chamberlain also finds his name on this list a couple of times, most notably scoring 59 points in 1961. The most recent run at the single-game scoring record on Christmas came from Tracy McGrady in 2002, going for 46 points against the Pistons.

Believe it or not, as it stands, Rick Barry is the only player to score 50 points on Christmas in a win.
