Pre-chewed and spit just for your convenience:

Giving Tuesday is a global day of giving that falls on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving (in the United States) and Black Friday. #GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple way to encourage people to give back to their community and support charities and causes they believe in. The idea caught on quickly, and now Giving Tuesday is celebrated by people all over the world. Here are some of the coolest things that have been done in celebration of Giving Tuesday.

One Giving Tuesday, a group of college students in India raised enough money to send three students from an underprivileged school to summer camp. In the United Kingdom, Giving Tuesday supporters organized a “Big Give” event where people donated items like food and clothing to those in need. A charity in Spain held a Giving Tuesday dinner for people living with disabilities while Giving Tuesday supporters in Australia organized a 5K charity fun run. Giving Tuesday has even made its way to Antarctica, with Giving Tuesday supporters organizing a “clean-up” of the continent.

Giving Tuesday as a person creates a wave of generosity!

Giving Tuesday is a powerful reminder of the good that can be done when people come together and give back. It’s an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others and create lasting change in our communities. #GivingTuesday is a movement that encourages everyone to show their support for the causes they care about – no matter how big or small. So this Giving Tuesday, join the movement and make a difference! #GivingTuesday.
